Sometimes life throws us a curve-ball that we just didn't expect. Whatever the curve-ball is, either large or small, it is common to cause anxiety, even if it is something exciting. If your curve-ball is something that isn't so exciting, maybe you feel traumatized. This can happen for any situation that causes disruption to your daily routine, your thinking and ultimately your ability to function at your full potential. Whatever your anxiety or trauma is about, we can help! We are a team of therapists that work extensively with anxiety provoking issues. These could be about relationships, life events, or any negative experience that is holding you back. If you are struggling with moving past a traumatic incident, or finding it difficult to overcome anxiety of any sort, please contact us. We will have one of our experienced therapists contact you as soon as possible. We look forward to hearing from you!

Serving our Escondido location.

Sometimes we need to go through a dark overgrown forest to get to a beautiful meadow full of wildflowers. Other times we might hike a rigorous trail to get to a stunning waterfall or a peaceful overlook. Beauty and challenges are intertwined in life. The experience of counseling is like this. You might find yourself in a dark or difficult place, yearning for the serene meadow of wildflowers. Maybe there are unresolved issues in your past, or you are struggling with some aspects of daily living, or maybe you are working toward some goals for your future that seem impossible. Going this journey alone can be overwhelming. My goal is that you find the counseling room to be a safe space where you can express yourself, be seen for who you are and be truly known. Sharing the rawness of who you are might sound scary, but it can lead to a deeper understanding of yourself as well as transformation in many aspects of your life.

As a therapist I am passionate about helping people build thriving relationships including attachment relationships (parent-child or the couples/marriage relationship). I enjoy working with couples including pre-marital couples to identify unhealthy cycles and strengthen positive aspects of the relationship. I have a great deal of experience working with children of all ages, youth and families as well as helping people navigate the journey of parenting. When appropriate I utilize creativity in session including art therapy, sand tray and play therapy techniques. My approach is influenced by psychodynamic, attachment, object-relations, emotion focused and humanistic theories.

It would be an honor to come alongside you in your journey as you uncover the layers of yourself. My hope is that you find the journey to be a sacred and healing one. One where you shed the old layers of who you have been and step into your most true and authentic self.
