Sometimes life throws us a curve-ball that we just didn't expect. Whatever the curve-ball is, either large or small, it is common to cause anxiety, even if it is something exciting. If your curve-ball is something that isn't so exciting, maybe you feel traumatized. This can happen for any situation that causes disruption to your daily routine, your thinking and ultimately your ability to function at your full potential. Whatever your anxiety or trauma is about, we can help! We are a team of therapists that work extensively with anxiety provoking issues. These could be about relationships, life events, or any negative experience that is holding you back. If you are struggling with moving past a traumatic incident, or finding it difficult to overcome anxiety of any sort, please contact us. We will have one of our experienced therapists contact you as soon as possible. We look forward to hearing from you!

"Are you fearful about finding and/or losing love? Unable to fully grasp your emotions? Do you suffer from feelings of loneliness and/or emptiness? Do you feel incapable of being loved? Do you resist giving and receiving love, despite craving it? Through attachment therapy you can learn to build healthier relationships, overcome fear, heal pain from past trauma, and strengthen your inner-self and reintegrate a sense of overall well being."

We learn how to attach as adults from what we experienced during our childhood. When we as children experience a negative attachment, neglectful attachment, or complete disconnect from our primary care-giver (even if it was unintentional and no fault of the care-giver) we miss out on a fundamental key ingredient for overall well being. Unhealthy attachments not only negatively impact our ability to develop healthy adult relationships, it also reduces our ability to handle life challenges, both small and large, including trauma. As a professional pre-licensed therapist, Gretchen J. Penner specializes in adult attachment and is trained in the Adult Attachment Repair Model(AARM). AARM is a comprehensive therapeutic approach for the treatment of trauma comprised from a variety of evidence-based treatments. Through the use of AARM, Gretchen helps guide the repairing of negative emotions by the resetting of the autonomic nervous system based on the understanding of our internal information processing. As the adult attachment is repaired, the pain from negative and/or neglectful attachments diminish, and our inner strength is increased allowing us to experience the fullness of living.
